Fabric Feature Fabric of the Week – Iro Gauze
January 7, 2010
Feature Fabric of the Week is our 100% Cotton Voile Iro Gauze (notice the online shop photo has come out looking a little creamier than it really is!) This Japanese cotton has the most wonderful crepe like handle and drape.
Jana ( the queen of maxi dresses) made up this dress using a pattern she drafted herself – using a bit of this and that. Similar patterns to this dress are Vogue 8475 and Vogue 8493 – for the back detail.
During summer we get lots of requests for maxi dress patterns. Have you got a favourite maxi style pattern you could recommend? We’d love to hear from you 🙂
What a lovely dress on a beautiful girl! That fabric made up so differently to how I expected. Thanks for the review.
It's so gorgeous and I'm sure so fabulously comfortable in the summer. I love, I love! I'm currectly finishing up Vogue 8380 in 3 layers of china silk. Its not even close to summer here, but I'm dreaming…
