Book Week Costume
August 25, 2010
I made this Dorothy dress for Claudia from a (now discontinued*) McCalls pattern about 3 years ago. She still loves dressing up…bless her!
The dress (just between you and me) probably won’t fit her for much longer. The shoes were made with love by a friend. They’re from St. Vinnies, sprayed with glue and dusted with ruby glitter, and she’s all set for Book Week.
Zoey would have made a perfect Toto don’t you think?
I tell you, it’s times like this I wish she could stay little for just that wee bit longer…

ADORABLE!
Gorgeous outfit, your daughter looks beautiful.
Mines going as the Geek from 'The Geek, the Greek and the Pimpernel' it was a toss up between one of the twins from the Floods or the Shiralee but green face paint and overalls didn't quite cut it.
My husband (Grade 2 teacher) announced last night, at 10 o'clock, just as we were heading to bed that he needed a BFG (Big Friendly Giant) costume by the following morning for Book Week. Needless to say, I didn't get to bed until 11. He did look funny, riding off this morning in his costume carrying his suitcase and dreamcatcher.
