Giveaway: Win a Beautiful Kores Bag
I’ve just been introduced to bag designer Kalina Molina who has kindly offered to give away a bag to 2 of our lucky readers. Simply head over to Kalina’s website http://www.koresbags.com, have a look around and then come back here and tell me in the comments below which bag you would like to win. We’ll draw two winners at random next Wednesday 1st June 2011. Simple!
Kalina Molina is a Brazilian designer who came to Sydney via NYC 5 years ago. With an eye for colour and design, Kalina had the brilliant idea to re-use the artwork skins from large outdoor billboards to make fashion forward, durable bags and computer covers. For the most part, these billboards are turned into landfill once an advertising campaign is over. Through this creative recycling concept, Kalina has produced a range of totally unique pieces, each of which represents a slice of urban history.
Kalina has worked for over a year developing and perfecting production techniques, and last month launched a full range of bags under the label Kores Bags, kores being the Portuguese word for colours. On offer at http://www.koresbags.com messenger bags, computer bags, iPad bags, wallets, shoulder bags and even some very cool evening clutches.
Pity I can’t enter!!!
PS. Unless you are willing to pay for the International postage, it’s only available to Australian readers…sorry!
I'm first!
I'd love S222 – it is great! Thank you for such a good giveaway!
Colette – thank you so much for the chance to win one of Kalina's fantastic bags. I really love her messenger bag M121. The colours really appeal to me and just yesterday I had friends complaining about how disorganised my current handbag is – I can never find anything. I don't think this would be a problem with Kalina's bags. I'd love to go into the draw for a chance to win. Maree
How wonderful and unique! Thanks for bringing these bags to our attention. I like the shoulder bag S240.
What a great giveaway! All the bags are awesome & so are the wallets, but if I had to choose one, I'd love the Shoulder Bag S240.
Thanks for the giveaway, Kalina! I love messenger bag M115 – I don't know what the billboard it came from was for, but it reminds me of a beautiful cityscape.

lINDAS AMEI !!!
Ooo! I would use an evening bag clutch all the time… even during the day! There are all lovely.
Wow – What a collection of great bags – useful, environmentally friendly and gorgeous. In the spirit of being more sustainable, I would choose a computer bag. The idea of having one which is different to all the other plain black ones at my workplace is very appealing. C343 would do it for me although I would take any one of them – they are all quite desirable.
Thanks, Jenni
Ooh, lovely! Great that they are made with recycled materials.
I'd love to carry around M114. The design is evocative and it would fit all the stuff I seem to carry around with me every day!
Good luck to Kalina – this is a very worthy, and stylish, enterprise!
PS I'm sorry if my comments come up a few times – I'm having terrible trouble posting!
