Help Adrian
Meet Adrian, our Warehouse Manager. Amongst other roles and responsibilities, he’s charged with the task of naming our fabrics. Cool job, huh? But when you’ve named over 100,000 fabrics over the years (and years), the well of inspiration can run a bit dry. And when you stare at a plain black fabric and the only words that spring to mind are ‘Black’ and ‘Night’, you know you need help. And so, dear readers, we’re pleased to introduce a new and regular blog feature – Help Adrian.
Can you come up with a great name for the 100% cotton print pictured above? It’s perfect for tops, blouses, dresses, skirts, contrast lining in coats/jackets. If we choose your suggestion, not only do you have naming (and therefore bragging) rights, you’ll also receive two metres of this fabric.
Comments will close 11:59pm Sunday May 6th AEST.
Get clever, help Adrian and good luck!

Swirling pollen!
winter clover or cotton boll
Those little dots (if my screen colors are correct) remind me of olives…so I suggest…

I so wish I hadn't looked at Racehlmp's comment before trying to think of a name for it – popcorn posy is so perfect for this fabric that my mind has gone completely blank at it now feels like trying to rename Father Christmas…whose name also wouldn't sound quite right as anything other. However, as I think the fabric is very lovely, I feel compelled to come up with something. Moments of Marigold?
I love this feature by the way, and yes, Adrian's job sounds wonderful.
Midnight Garden
Smokey blue nut clusters 🙂 I like this game!
Vivid Violet
Lavender jelly drops.
the pattern on this lovely fabric reminds me of little pasta shapes so I would name it after them. The little bead shape pasta used in soups at weddings, acini de pepe maybe is too complicated a name but corallini, or ditalini or even pastina would suit it just as well.
Hmmmm…reminds me of pebbles and the blue of the ocean, so my choice is Pebbles in the Ocean

What a BRILLIANT idea! Blue Clover.
Don't know that I like it enough to want 2m of it but it reminds me of kettle corn (do you have that in Australia?) because unlike regular popcorn, kettle corn has some darker features because it's encrusted with sugar and cooked in a heavy kettle. If you don't have kettle corn there I'm so sorry to have planted the thought in your head. Yes, it is everything your sweet toothed dreams can imagine.
Petri Dish Pickle
I'm going to say 'Tufts of Popcorn' because it reminds me of the shade of blue called 'Tufts Blue' after Tufts University in America. Also because I think 'Tufts of Popcorn' sounds pretty cute!
