The Laura Pants Pattern

For those who loved our Anita Ponti Pant pattern, but want something less fitted and just as comfy … here’s our newest pant pattern -the Laura Pants.
This pull-on, cropped, slim leg pant pattern features an elasticized waist and a narrow hem with wide split. Comfortable and perfect all year ’round, the pattern is quick and easy to make.  There are no pocket bags in this pant pattern, so if you fancy a crisp white pair you won’t have to worry about pocket bags showing through.
The Laura Pants look best made up in linen , but is also suitable for other woven fabrics including lightweight wool, silk crepe de chine and crepe. Not suitable for knits/jersey or stretch wovens.
This pattern comes with sizes (AUS sizing) XXS, XS, S, M, L and XL included. Seam allowances are included in the pattern as well as sewing instructions and colour photos. The pattern instructions show a method (most commonly used in the garment industry) for sewing elastic into a waist casing, whilst securing the casing in place at the same time. Most other methods have you leaving an opening or feeding elastic through your casing with a safety pin or bodkin.  This easy method will also help to achieve an neat, even and flat elastic waistband with no chance of your elastic twisting in it’s casing!
