Pattern Review – Simplicity 1877

Here’s a face we haven’t seen around the blog in a while. I can’t believe that we haven’t had a post featuring Georgia since this time last year. We’ve seen her a-plenty in store and she’s certainly been adding to her fabric stash but in her busy world, sewing has had to take a back seat. ‘Til now, that is…
Here’s a recent dress Georgia made up in our digitally printed crepe de chine, Pixel Colour Washed CDC (still available at Tessuti Melbourne only) in Simplicity Pattern 1877 . Georgia made view B with some changes to this pattern eg. eliminating the shoulder frills, raising the v-neckline by 1.5″ and instead of sewing in a neck facing as per pattern, preferring to edge the neckline with self bias binding. Georgia also added self binding to the edge of the sleeves and dress hem. Lovely as usual and I do like those hidden pockets.
It’s good to see you Georgia. We’ve missed you x
