Pattern Review – Vogue 8184 – style C
March 8, 2008
Once again, here is Georgia in V8184. This dress is style C ( but used the straps from style F ), made up in our gorgeous cotton/elastane ‘Vincent’. The bold and striking print evokes images of 1930s-era sundresses which makes a perfect match for this style. Georgia has added our chunky white ric-rac to the bottom edge of the skirt which adds a nice touch, don’t you think?
Georgia’s dress is perfectly teamed with a citrus coloured cardi from Saba and ankle strap heels by Gary Castles finish the look. I just love that this whole outfit is so evocative of another era and yet so completely contemporary at the same time.
Just beautiful, the perfect fabric/pattern match for this lovely dress! Very well done!
absolutely beautiful. Both versions are divine! What a great seamstress she is and what lovely fabric you stock.I had to go buy this pattern after I saw these two dresses.Eithne
This pattern is great. I have been looking for something similar for a while. I will definately be on the lookout for this next time I go pattern shopping.
Great pattern. The fabric goes so well with the style. I love the plackets (?) on the bust line.
When I saw this fabric made up in this pattern, I just had to buy the fabric. Love it.
