Sit ‘ n ‘ Sew classes with Letty
Today I popped into see Letty La Rosa who runs sewing classes in Forestville – about 15 mins from our Tessuti Chatswood store. Letty runs numerous classes from the back of her home where she has a great workroom set up complete with Bernina sewing machines, overlockers, a huge communal cutting table and haberdashery etc. All you need to bring is your fabric and ideas (and your lunch, of course).
This is Letty’s Tuesday Advanced Class and the level of work these ladies do is incredible. Many of them have been coming to ‘Sit ‘n’ Sew’ for years and although they could probably stop doing these classes now they continue to come simply because they enjoy catching up and gaining inspiration from each other. I can see the attraction. I would love to spend a whole day sewing!

Seeing the photos of lettys sewing classes on the web, brought back fond memories of my times there. I now live on the gold coast and have started back with sewing classes this year and am enjoying them immensely.The wardrobe is just not big enough.
