Pattern Review McCalls 4972
May 2, 2008
I really enjoy doing pattern reviews on Sew Tessuti. It gives me the biggest buzz to see Tessuti fabrics made up into these wonderful garments.
Here is another fantastic pattern review – this time on McCalls 4972 made beautifully by Georgia in Tessuti’s 100% Wool ‘Blush Pink’. The only alteration to this pattern was that Georgia omitted the patch pockets.
The jacket is edged with a trim made from the self wool which is fringed and slightly gathered on. Georgia has also made and added sweet satin rosettes to cover the hook and eye closure on the front. Is there nothing this woman can’t do?!!?
Georgia wore in her new jacket over this great Vogue pattern shirt. Nice boots too!
I love reading your reviews! This jacket look so beautiful in pink wool – not a combination I would have thought of myself – but so fresh and pretty!
Just beautiful! I love your reviews, especially anything from Georgia! That jacket is a stunner!
Beautifully made! Love the texturized pink wool used for this jacket!
I was only saying today that I want some beautiful wool for a jacket or light weight coat, and here you are showing it to me in my favourite colour!!!
As soon as I decide on a pattern I will be in your shop. Thanks Colette and Georgia!!
