Pattern Review – Two versions of Vogue 8420
Emma made this loose-fitting tunic dress using pattern Vogue 8420 firstly out of 100% cotton ‘Pink Birds’- although the pattern says that it is suitable for † Moderate Stretch Knits Only. The scoop neckline makes this easy to pull on without requiring a zipper.
Emma modified the pattern by lenghtening the tunic into a dress and eliminated the elastic casing at the front – preferring to gather it in with its self belt.
Stretch fold-over binding was used on the neckline edge – this helped the neckline sit better as it gaped a touch after Emma self-lined the tunic with the upper front facing ( as is in this pattern )
This pattern has a few sleeve variations and here view B was used.
Emma lengthened the sleeves and omitted the self-lined upper facing in this wonderful wool knit version below – made up in 100% wool ‘Licorice Stripe’. Tessuti stocks a great range of wool knits in all our stores.
Oh. amazing the latest clothes., dress, blouse, the other dress. fabrics are wonderful, of course, the litmus gauze is beautiful. greetings. Paco
