Stefania’s Silk Satin Ombre Formal Dress
January 6, 2010
Remember Stefania? Well she’s all grown up and finished high school…sniff!
Here she is looking resplendent in her year 12 formal dress, this time made by talented dressmaker Lilyn in Chatswood.
Stefania came to ask about suggestions for styles and fabric choices and quickly settled on our lovely 100% silk satin ombre in Black, we also decided to use the matching silk chiffon ombre for the pleated detail under the bust. The inspiration for the dress (photo) came from this pink Versace dress – particularly for the bodice.
Silver/black beaded trim for the straps.
Pretty gorgeous …huh?

Oh my goodness! It's beautiful and even so much better than the original I think. She looks dreamy in those fabulous layers of silk. I want that dress and I want to live near the Dressmaker. Jealous. Totally jealous.
Knock out! love the dress and stefania is rockin' this look….beautiful
STUNNING!!!!!
so beautiful! I hope she felt like a goddess because she sure looked like one.
Stunning girl and stunning dress! I looooooooove ombre silk, it's so sophisticated. The bodice of the dress is amazing, how the different panels use different shadings of the ombre… LOT of thought went into the cutting!
She looks beautiful oh to be young again.
Sensational use of fabric.
Pity the men in her life don't know about dressing – button up the jackets fellas for photographs. Lesley
Yes, stunning is the only word to use!
Unbelievable – she looks great – the dress is the perfect cut for her…I guess her wedding dress will have to be pretty spectacular to beat her formal dress!
