So whilst Tessuti Fabrics turns the ripe old adult age of 18, down in Melbourne town we’d like to celebrate our own little milestone – The Big 1.

It’s been a good year. Nay, a great one. The store has evolved exactly as we’d hoped it would, and when I think of those early (and quiet!) days working alongside Colette as she imparted her fabric/retail/sewing wisdom, it makes me pretty proud to know how far we’ve come in such a short space of time. Oh, we’ve met some great sewing folk from Melbourne and regions beyond. And at the risk of sounding uber-cheesy, we couldn’t have done it without you.

And so to both mark the occasion and say ‘thanks’, from 12-3pm on Saturday 22nd May in our Flinders Lane, Melbourne store only, we’ll be offering discount door prizes on all fabrics (excluding remnants) to all our customers.

And lastly – tissues please – I’d like to thank, big time, my awesome Melbourne staff who’ve been with us pretty much from the start (or until we were busy enough to take them on!). To Nic, Leisl and Hannah – I hit the employee jackpot with you guys. It’s a joy.
