Eclectic Fever
November 8, 2011
Whilst I’m putting the finishing touches on my party dress, here are a couple of great creations from the same Italian cotton – Eclectic Blue and Pink.
Georgia made up a peasant skirt. The fitted yoke was cut from this pattern with three tiers added for the skirt. The first tier is a rectangle cut up the full width of the fabric (140cm wide), the second tier is two rectangles the full width and the last tier is 3 rectangles. With approx 4.20mtrs of Black Pom Pom Bubble Trim added to the hem of the skirt.
Then there’s this sweet a-line dress made up by Kristin (from Vancouver, Canada) for her etsy store – Mette.
Thanks to Kristin for the lovely images.
I love Georgia's skirt! May I ask – what is the length of each of the tiers? I'd love to make a similar one for myself.
Gosh, ! love the skirt and dress (make me an adult one, please). You Aussies and your frock creations rock! Now get me away from my knitting needles so I can sew.
thank you so much for featuring my dress! pretty skirt – the tiered panels create such a different look.
Thanks for the lovely comments!! Rachel I made each tier 25cm.
Thanks Georgia!!
