(NEW) Japanese Pattern Book Workshops for Beginners @ Tessuti Surry Hills
October 5, 2013
We’re pleased to announce that we now include Japanese Patternbook Workshops at our Sew Inn Classes at Tessuti Surry Hills (Sydney)
Here are the available dates for this coming term and all bookings (spaces are limited) must be made online here.
Saturday 9th November 2013 (9.30am-1.30pm)
Friday 15th November 2013 (10am-2pm)
Thursday 12th December 2013 (10am-2pm)
*Japanese Patternbook Workshop – This class is specifically aimed at helping students understand how to use the wonderful range of Japanese sewing pattern books currently available.
Topics such as interpreting instruction sketches and pattern adjustments will be addressed. Students bring their own project (book, fabric, tracing paper, highlighter pen, pencils and sewing things) and teacher Megan will help you locate and trace your pattern pieces and then interpret the diagrams in the book for construction. Students are welcome to begin at home (tracing off pattern onto paper) if they feel confident and use the class to focus on whatever part of the process they are most concerned about. Students can email Megan before the class, if needing help to decide if a project or fabric is suitable.
*This class is suitable for all sewing levels.

Hi Jenny. No plans to run one specific to Japanese patterns but you could certainly do that in a BYO project class
