We received a lovely email from newlywed Ruby and promptly ooh-ed and ahhh-ed over the gorgeous photos attached. This dress! And made by her grandmother no less…

you for your fabulous service and advice while picking fabric for my
wedding dress. Special shout out to Dalwyn who made it
all happen! My grandmother made the dress using fabric from your
Flinders Lane store.

The outer fabric is our Ivory Deco Lace (also available in black and red) and the lining is our Off White Vanity. Both are currently in stock in Melbourne and Surry Hills.

That same grandmother made my wedding dress many years ago. She is so lovely and incredibly talented. And Rubys dress is gorgeous. Well done MS. Xxx Morag
Morag, so lovely to read your comments. I always said I would give up making wedding dresses when I did not enjoy it any more, but after so many years, it is still a joy. Am currently making a gown for Ruby to wear at the wedding "party" coming up, full length,complete with a train, with a beaded lace overtop. The first one, I was under the impression it was a cocktail dress, little did I know she would be married in it! xxxxx
what a stunning dress!!! My grandmother also made my dress, and while its not in the same league as this one, I treasure it.
