New and Updated Eva Dress Pattern
Meet our new, improved and re-released Eva Dress pattern. Originally published in 2013, Eva has always been one of your favourites and one of our favourites.
So, what’s different? Firstly, we’ve updated our instructions with more comprehensive step-by-step explanations and higher quality photos. We’ve also updated the grading of our sizes to line up with all our other Tessuti patterns and Sheet 1 is now on A0 size, making it easier for our PDF customers to print the actual size file anywhere.
We’ve also included details on how to create this cute topstitching detail, as seen on our Black Crush linen version above and below.
As with the original release, Eva can be made up in both short-sleeved (A) or sleeveless (B) versions. She’s fabulous as a cool and comfortable dress in summer but for layering in the cooler months, you can also try Eva in a light wool crepe (modification details here).
The pattern comes in (Australian) sizes XXS through to XL and is now available in both hardcopy copy and actual size copy shop/print-at-home version.
Love the pattern variations & your fabric choices, definitely on my list this summer. Can I ask the brand of your sandals, they’re gorgeous!
Hi Kym,
They’re Zimmermann Link Tie Flat sandals from last summer season.
What a stunning pattern! I love both versions you’ve made, especially with the top stitching! That linen is gorgeous.
Can I buy your lovely hard copy patterns here in the UK
I would like to buy this pattern please

I just finished making my first Eva dress (and also my first Tessuti pattern) but it won’t be the last. I love it and I know I am going to enjoy wearing it. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow and the photos throughout also helped. Thank you.
Hi Libby, Thanks for your feedback. We love to hear that you’re happy with your Eva Dress, we know you’ll enjoy wearing it 🙂
Made my first Eva yesterday and love the pattern. My first selection was a linen/cotton blend, and the next one will be in linen. Love the lines and the comfy feel to it for summer. I will make this many times again, and it will be my go-to summer dress pattern. The bodice fits beautifully, the sleeve length is perfect, and I also like the hem length (may try one a little shorter in another rendition. Rave Rave pattern.
I’m making my first Eva dress but I have a challenge. The lower part of the skirt is much wider than the middle part. How do I attach it without wrinkles? Please advise.
Kicki
Hi Kicki. The skirt is lantern shaped so I’m wondering if you have the pattern piece/s upside down? Please send photos to fabrics@tessuti.com.au
Hi Tessuti team, there appears to be no back bodice pattern piece in the PDF pattern I purchased. What am I missing?
Hi Jessica. There are 2 pattern sheets – have you printed both?
Hi Tessuti team, just wondering if you think this dress would work in the double gauze materials that you have in many wonderful colours at the moment?
Perfect for our Tumbled range!
Hi Tessuti
Wondering how much length to add for someone who is 6 foot? Can you advise please?
