Winter’s arrived…Pattern Review Burda 8292

The perfect pattern review for the 1st day of Winter ’08 would have to be this Burda 8292 coat ( View A ) made up by Georgia in Tessuti’s 70% Wool 20% Polyamide and 10% Cashmere Flannel Coating in ‘Turquoise’.

The only adjustments Georgia made to the pattern was to take the coat in at the seams from just under the bust to the hips ( Georgia wanted a more semi – fitted look to the coat ). This is Georgia’s first attempt at making a coat!! She has done a really amazing job.

Once the jacket was put together – Georgia had it professionally pressed and for a more professional finish – key-hole buttonholes were done on an industrial keyhole machine. You can also have this service done at Quick Buttonhole Service – 22 Botany Rd Alexandria Sydney 2015 (02) 9699 2050 (call Mick for details and prices ).

And don’t you just love these fabulous black 30mm buttons? They are some of the latest from Tessuti’s Winter button range.

Georgia got a headstart on a coat in time for the cold snap…so if you are thinking of making a new coat this Winter ….get into Tessuti.
