Melbourne, we’re coming…
March 24, 2009
Yes – finally – it’s happening! After a year of searching for the perfect Melbourne location, with numerous trips down from Sydney, a couple of promising starts, raised hopes and hopes dashed, we are happy to reveal that we have found our newest store in a brand new city. YAY!!!! We are very excited to be joining a part of the creative hub in Melbourne that we’ve long admired.
And now we roll up our sleeves as there is much to do in preparation for our opening. Here are a few snapshots to give you some location clues and we’ll be posting updates in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
Sweet! Looks like somewhere near 141 Flinders Lane to me. 🙂
How soon?
Now I might be wrong, but that looks like the Majorca Building on the very cool and hip Flinders Way!
Yay! Will YOU be coming with the store 😉
Congratulations, Collette. I enjoy following the story of how Tessuti is going and I’m glad you are able to expand it further. Melbourne seems to be fillied with crafty people so they are going to be delighted also!
Hi Tyler,
we anticipate to open in
6-8 weeks. Hope to see you there.
As a Melbourne girl, I just have to say I am SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!
Can’t wait to see you down here. I’ll sign up as your first regular in the new store!
Looks fantastic! I love the “141” sign.
So, seeing as you’re expanding and all, how do you feel about opening a store in downtown Tamworth…?!! Congratulations on the new store Colette!
I’ll be there. Project Runway Australia is made in Melbourne. Maybe it’d be good to try to get your store into the next season, somehow…
Exciting news! Can’t wait!
Fantastic I can’t wait too, now I won’t have to pay the potage and I’ll be able to feel how lovely the fabrics are.
How exciting…..I do hope it is down Collins/King Street end of the city as this will give me an excuse to have a lunch break… Can’t wait for an opening date….good luck….
Fantastic! Here i was planning a Sydney trip so i could properly suss out your stuff!
It looks like Flinders Lane…how appropriate. It was once the centre of all the rag trade for Melbourne. You have my support.
Can’t;t wait till you get here! I’m so excited!
AWESOME!!!!!!
Fabulous! we can never have enought fabric in Melbourne. Can’t wait!
And a great spot by the look of your photo!
Looks like Flinders Ln.. quaintly interesting
ooh … looks like it may be down the little lane where Lady and Miss Lau are – great spot! Anywhere around Flinders Lane would have been a winner – can’t wait to come check it out 🙂
