Pattern Review – The Pendrell Blouse in Little Bow Black
Kylie from Canberra has made up this pretty ruffle sleeve top in our 100% cotton Little Bow Black using The Pendrell Blouse pattern.
Kylie says:
“Okay this is THE BEST thing I’ve stitched. Ever. I can’t wait to make another – such is my love for the Pendrell!! Thanks Tasia for such a brilliant pattern. I usually hate to gather anything, but the sleeves worked beautifully”
and
“the fabric was honestly the nicest cotton I’ve worked with. As soon as I spotted it I knew it would be perfect for the blouse, which needed something with good drape…”
We love this! Yet another great example of perfect pattern to fabric match.
The Pendrell Blouse pattern is available for purchase from this great Canadian sewing blog – Sewaholic. Have any of you made the Pendrell Blouse pattern…we’d love to see? Drop a link or your comments below.
Thank you again Kylie for allowing us to use your images.
Very cute! I've been thinking about sewing that pattern too. She's hosting a sewalong for it right now.
Very interesting – I've been reading her blog (Sewaholic) and this pattern is very cute!
I have just received my pattern in the mail and Tasia is delightful to deal with! Can anyone tell me if I am a standard Aussie size 10 what would be the appropriate size to us in this pattern….. thanks
I have just received my pattern in the post & can't wait to make it up. Can anyone tell me what size I should use for an aussie standard size 10? Also Tasia at Sewaholic is delightful & a pleasure to deal with!
I'm an Aussie 8 but sewed a 6 and the fit was good. I think the pattern may be close to standard American dress sizes (normally a size down from us, is that right? So a 10 would be an 8).
Anyway I'd measure and check myself against the pattern measurements just to be sure.
Gorgeous! You're right, it's a perfect fabric choice for the blouse. Thanks for the wonderful review!
Tasia 🙂
