INTRODUCING THE LYON JACKET PATTERN

Introducing what we hope will be a simple and classic addition to your wardrobe – the Lyon Jacket!

You know how we love a boiled wool pattern, right? The Lyon Jacket is a different style to anything we’ve ever done before. Semi-fitted, it’s a collarless, hip length jacket that features front shoulder darts, back neck band, dropped shoulders and bracelet length sleeves.

As most seams are overlapped and hems are left raw, Lyon is best made up in boiled/felted wools that do not fray when cut. What that means is that, like our other boiled wool patterns, this is an exceptionally quick sew and quite possibly one of the speediest jackets you’ll ever make.

For these two samples shown here, we’ve used our Bollito Bordo (above) and Catrame (below) – more colours here.

Four sew-on press studs provide the opportunity to wear Lyon open or closed making it an easy layering piece over turtlenecks, shirts and your favourite fitted tops. You can even wear it over dresses. Colette loves wearing hers (below) over the Felicia Pinafore Dress with long sleeves.

Oh, and did we mention pockets? The Lyon Jacket has two in a simple patch style.

This latest release joins our ever-expanding family of boiled wool patterns that now includes the Berlin Jacket, Sydney Jacket, Brooklyn Coat, Verona Jacket, London Coat, Amara Vest and Florence Coat.

The Lyon Jacket comes in (Australian) sizes 6-16 and 16-22 and is now available in both hardcopy and PDF copy shop/print-at-home versions.

We can’t wait to see your versions and if you’re sharing them with us on Instagram, don’t forget to use the #TessutiPatterns #LyonJacket hashtags.
