Face To Face with the Athina Top
Here’s a design from our first drop of new & exclusive Tessuti Fabrics prints. Face To Face is a black & white 150gsm linen that’s perfect for tops, skirts, dresses, shirts and jumpsuits.
Silva has used it here with our free PDF Athina Top, making a few modifications along the way. She added 2.5cm (1″) to the width of the underarm ( 1/2″ added to front and back) and, instead of the pattern’s sleeve, added a 5cm (2”) wide double band instead.
The top’s finished length is 66cm (26”) and has a 5cm (2”) hem.
She also substituted the pattern’s neckline binding for a facing.
In this simple yet striking print, the result is SO good.

Glad to see that facing, I had planned to add that to mine as well. Fabric pattern looks like Keith Haring artwork!
Good afternoon, got this beautiful Face to Face fabric in September but only just getting started on this Athina modification. Bit nervous about doing the armhole adjustment without a bit more guidance. Are you able to post a quick drawing of where to start and finish the adjustment?

The second image in this post shows the sleeve extended and details below:

She widened only at the underarm and blended it to the curve under the arm, 1/2″ on front and back ( 1″ total added).
