Birthday dress for Stella
February 4, 2010
Happy birthday sweet girl …hope you like your new dress xxx
Made from Tessuti Cotton/Linen Denim, aqua diagonal stripe bias-binding and green vintage button. I used easy dress Pattern J (page 14 and 49) from Innocent and Lovely Girlswear ISBN978-4-579-11194-7– you may find stock of this Japanese pattern book still available in Chatswood.
Note: only alteration – I changed the casing at centre back (for the straps to feed through) instead I added elastic there and made the straps tie at the shoulders.
This looks great! I have this book and love it too! I am currently working on a top using the pattern shown on the cover, and plan to make the jumper/apron dress to go over it. I really like the way you did this dress. So cute.
Oh, so pretty! Love that contrast binding :o)
Most adorable. I love that the gathered section is confined to the front of the dress. Yours is much cuter than the one in the book. Happy Birthday to Stella.
Lucky girl – such a sweet dress – the contrast is wonderful. Happy birthday to your darling!
Love the dress Collette – the label is cool too – must get some made up – did she love it?
Thank you Cherri,
yes she loved it and has worn it a few times already. In fact Stellas mum wants to make up some more for her.
I would like this book if anyone is happy to share or sell.
