One metre of this Prada 100% Silk Satin has been sitting in my stash since last summer! I’ve been too scared to cut it up…I’m thinking silk nightie….any suggestions?
Very beautiful! I agree too pretty for a nightie. I love how it is draped on the dress form. How about a simple one shouldered top? Or a dress with the bottom in a silk satin black or blue?
OMG Collette…that is one fabulous piece of fabric. Far to fab to cut up – Why dont you do what I do with its sister piece – the red Prada hearts you brought back from one of your Europe buying trips. I sleep with mine under my pillow !!!!
I think a slinky nightie is fabulous, who cares if no one else sees it, who wouldnt want to slip into a 'I heart Prada' nightie on a hot summer night! Sooooo Jealous!
Keep it simple and definately into something you can share – with more than one other person!
I have adapted the pattern I made for Stella (similar to the one your girls made) to suit an older mix (bit more shape front and back). It's terribly simple but sometmes a little goes a long way – I'll put photos up tonight.

Oo it's too pretty to be just a nightie. What about a camisole or something that you can waer out? 🙂

I think it is too wonderful not to share out and about – a draped top as Sandra suggests is a nice idea..Vicki
What about a simple cami & a pair of short boxers with a cool trim ….wear to bed or wear the cami out. It would work so well for both….Keri

I like Noosa Girl's idea of sleeping with it under your pillow. I have fabrics from YEARS ago that I can't cut into because they are so precious!
