Victoria’s Patchwork Tunic


Haven’t we all got left over bits of fabric, many precious but useless left over scraps after cutting out our sewing projects?

Here’s a fabulous idea created by Victoria. Using left-over bits of linen and Japanese cotton, she made up this simple, but striking two-tone linen tunic dress! The top and bottom half of the tunic were sewn together and then the desired contrast and printed pieces were vliesofix-ed on, using normal polyester sewing thread, edge stitched around the pieces using an embroidery blanket stitch setting. I absolutely love this idea, it’s got me thinking about endless possibilities and the scraps that got away…
