Pattern Review – McCalls 6102
October 20, 2012
Here’s Shirley again in two gorgeous inspirations! A-line shift dresses made up recently from easy peasy McCalls 6102 pattern. After trying out the pattern (view B) first in this printed linen/cotton above (sold out), Shirley found the neckline too wide so added an inverted pleat at centre front.
Shirley chose the pattern again, with the neckline adjusted to fit, for another dress inspired by this combination in Dolce and Gabbana’s latest Spring ’13 collection. The base dress was made up in 100% linen Sand Hill Como and our latest arrival Sophia Red Guipure Lace was appliqued on the sleeves, centre back and waistline.
