Pattern Review – Vintage Vogue 8611 (circa 1973)
October 21, 2012
We’ve been missing Georgia around these parts, she’s been taking a wee (and much deserved) sewing and teaching break. Just back from a relaxing family holiday in exotic Thailand, she popped int last week in her latest dress creation made up in cotton/elastane Lappi Indigo Spot (sold out) and vintage 70’s pattern Vogue 8611.
Georgia changed the pattern just slightly, adding a waistline seam to the panelled a-line dress and the halter straps changed to classic shoulder straps.
Happy Birthday to you today Georgia!

I made a dress from that exact pattern to wear on a cruise in 1975!! A good design never dates!
Beautiful! Can you tell me the finished hem circumference please?
hi! do you still have the pattern? I would love to make the dress! ❤️
Hi there, our customer Georgia no longer has this pattern. This was made back in 2017. You can check Etsy vintage pattern seller or on Ebay from time to time.
