Take one fabric flaw and work with it!

Meet lovely Thea who works at Bernina Chatswood. She recently made up our Lily Linen Dress pattern in this lovely (now sold out) denim/slate printed linen.

We had reduced the price of this linen as it had a fade line running down the centre of the roll but Thea was determined to make this up in a sleeveless Lily Linen Dress despite the fact that the centre front and back pattern pieces could only be placed on the (faded!) centre fold. So what did Thea do to hide a fade line down the middle of her dress? Her solution was simple. She sewed a poly/cotton bias strip in contrasting black down centre front and back as well as trimming the neckline and armholes as well.

A clever, simple sewing solution that gives Lily a new look.
