February 16, 2014
Meet Pia – our newest Tessuti pattern! This pull-on dress is designed with extended shoulder sleeves and exaggerated pockets. The comfortable, flattering style is shaped without being fitted, and features a wide flared skirt allowing it to be worn loose or belted. The Pia Dress is a simple, classic design suitable for all body shapes. Recommended fabrics include linens, medium weights cottons and lightweight wools.
My version (above) is made up in Bedford Ocean – Vintage Wash Linen
Thea’s version (above) is made up in Sand Hill Como
Lisa’s version (above) is made up in Bedford Black – Vintage Wash Linen
The Pia Dress is now available in both hardcopy and print-at-home/print copy shop PDF versions. All sizes (Aus XS, S, M, L and XL) are included in the pattern together with sewing instruction booklet with colour photos.
We hope you’ll love Pia as much as we do.

Gosh, I was sure it was a pair of pants. But wow great dress, I'm definitely downloading this one! Nice one!
You weren't alone Belinda! We'll see what we can do about offering the kind of pants I think you were thinking this might be 🙂
Very nice! Great pockets and waist shaping detail. Another lovely pattern 🙂
Thanks Sandra! What do you think of this one with a belt?
Yes, the belt is lovely… looks good with and without 🙂
The pocket styling is very clever:)
Thank you Maria, we do love our pockets 🙂
Lovely – I really like the extended shoulders that form a mini sleeve. The dress looks very smart belted too, a really versatile dress!
Thanks Kristy 🙂
This is gorgeous! Just the sort of thing I want to live in!
Awesome! Exactly the pattern I need.
I have loved wearing mine all summer. Now, I'd love to add a sleeve and make one for the fall (I am in then US – northeast). Anybody done that yet?
Could this be cropped to make a top? My skills are intermediate. Thanks
Hi Marjorie. A friend of mine has successfully cropped Pia to make a top so yes, it’s definitely possible
