NEW Lisa Dress Pattern
October 7, 2014
Lisa Dress made up in Lulu Navy Linen |
It’s been a long time between patterns so we are SUPER excited to be releasing our latest Lisa Dress! This loose and comfortable high-waisted dress features a sleeveless bodice with button opening, contoured high waistline and a gathered skirt with side pockets. Worn on its own, over a t-shirt (perfect with our Lola Tee pattern) or tank top, the Lisa Dress is the perfect wardrobe addition to your spring/summer wardrobe. Suitable fabrics include light to medium weight linens, lightweight cottons (such as Liberty tana lawns), rayons, viscose and silk crepe de chines.

For added comfort and layering purposes, the armholes have been designed to sit low so the dress can be worn with a tank or t-shirt underneath.

I – LOVE – THIS! Awesome!
Gorgeous! It is definitely on my sewing list!
So excited Tessuti, I live in warm Brisbane and that is a gorgeous 'cool' dress, I am looking forward to making it for my wardrobe, really enjoy your patterns, thanks guys, happy sewing, Lyn
I LOVE most of your dresses patterns … It kills me everytime a new one comes up, because the smallest size is too big for me, not "oversized" big but like two sizes too big for my body and kind of swallowed me …
I tried printing the Gaby dress at lesser percentage to make it smaller but it did not work lol …
I was wondering if you could give me tips on how to alter the pattern to make it smaller, because OBVIOUSLY I'm not experienced enough to do it myself … And how to make the dress shorter for someone who is 5'1" so that the dress still looks as proportional as the original.
THANKS sooooo much … Because I REALLY LOVE the loose flowing oversized dresses and your patterns always have that "wow" factor, but I haven't the faintest idea how to make it work for me …

Hi Melani,
Please email us (fabrics@tessuti.com.au) with your bust, waist and hip measurements so that we can work out exactly how much smaller you need to grade the patterns. Or if you live in either Sydney or Melbourne you could come along to one of our classes and we can help you to adjust the pattern for your petite frame.
regards
Colette
Such a great pattern! It's so nice to have those pieces in the wardrobe that layer and mix seamlessly with everything!
This is the first time I have seen Anitas version in the liberty fabric. argh SO in love with this version too :)!!
Another great pattern from Tessuti to add to the list! But, my sewing machine arrived yesterday so I can get back into it 🙂 Although a sewing blog, would Lisa please share where she bought her amazing navy shoes? The shoe situation here is diabolical 🙁
Apologies for the slow reply and thanks for your comment. Always ALWAYS happy to help out in diabolical shoe situations. My shoes are from Melissa Australia 🙂
Just found this pattern and will definitely make it! Just a thought : could you maybe include a plus size model in your lineups? It makes it easier to see how it might look on me.
