Introducing the Tosca Tunic
Forever and ever ago, we Instagrammed a photo of Silva wearing this self-drafted style over a (featured) pair of pants and the response was overwhelmingly along the lines of “Great pants, but HOW CAN WE GET THIS TUNIC PATTERN?!?
Well lovely readers, we’re excited to let you know that you can now get this pattern right here – meet our new Tosca Tunic! Effortlessly stylish and simple, this slightly flared tunic includes two length options – just under the knee (above) and full length (below).
The wide (but not too wide) neckline sits beautifully and is finished with internal binding and an outer topstitch detail.
Loose, bracelet length sleeves allow the option to wear either down or turned back and side splits ramp up the easy, breezy factor. Excellent beach cover up? You betcha.
Light and lovely to wear, the Tosca Tunic is relaxed dressing at its finest. Whilst it can be worn as a stand-alone shift dress (Silva likes to throw hers on first thing in the morning), we’re showing it here over Robbie Pants made up Bedford White. For dressier occasions, we love the idea of wearing a silk Tosca over flowy wide-leg pants.
Because we (and the Tosca Tunic) love a horizontal stripe, the pattern also includes meterage details to have that horizontal aspect reflected in the sleeve. The version above is made in our Big Stripe Navy crinkle linen (also available in Black and Clay). Limited meterage of all three colour ways are currently available in Melbourne only.
The full length version pictured above is made in Milos Porcelain Crinkle Linen and below is made up in our Lagos Haze Stripe Haze (also available in Flax – Melbourne only).
Suitable fabrics for the Tosca Tunic include lightweight and crinkle linen, cotton gauze, drapey viscose & rayon and silk satin, crepe de chine and georgette.
The pattern comes in four (Australian) size ranges – 0 (6 – 8), 1 (10 – 12), 2 (12 – 14), 3 (16 – 18), 4 (20 – 22) – and is now available in both hardcopy and PDF copy shop/print-at-home versions. UK/EU customers can purchase the Tosca Tunic from our Tessuti Pattern UK website.
We can’t wait to see your versions and if you’re sharing them with us on Instagram, don’t forget to use the #TessutiPatterns #ToscaTunic hashtags.
Looks so nice I have bought the fabric and pattern but I would like to know which pattern was used for the white slip dress worn under the Milos Crinkle check linen dress or if self drafted please advise which fabric was used as it looks beautiful. Thanks
Hi Christine
Underneath the tunic are the Robbie Pants and a white (store-bought) jersey camisole
What’s Underneath the dress?
A ‘ready to wear’ white camisole is worn underneath the Tosca Tunic and Robbie Pants.
