Pattern Review – Vogue 8299 *modified
I met up with Georgia today to photograph her latest creation and the morning’s weather was going to determine what I was going to find Georgia wearing for this pattern review! If the fine sunny weather held up I was going to see her latest dress (made up in another lovely Italian printed ponti) and if the weather was as bleak and cold as predicted (and it was!) Georgia was going to wear her newly finished jacket.
Georgia made up our beautiful Italian Wool Blend Boucle Tweed in Water Curl (available at Tessuti Surry Hills only) also available in Night Curl, see below (at Tessuti Chatswood only).
View B (Small) from OOP Vogue 8299 was used, but with some *modifications. As Georgia didn’t want her jacket to sit right on her waist (or above) she extended the pattern down to hip length as well as grading it out to cover the hip area. She altered the line of the jacket by shaping the bottom fronts on a diagonal. I really think that this new silhouette compliments the collar style best. Lastly instead of buttons/buttonholes Georgia used our large 25mm fashion press studs for a more updated look.
So cute!
Sublime!! I love these buttons pressures. Very beautiful jacket 😉
Great modification – lovely jacket!!!
Beautiful jacket! The fit is great and that fabric looks so luxurious!
