Pattern Review – Vogue 8379
August 1, 2012
Hello there! Here’s a quick post to kick start things around here again, both Lisa and I are coming out of hibernation finally. A new month filled with lots of inspiring sewing/fabric posts.
Bernadette was wearing this lovely new wrap dress made up in our 80% Tencel 20% Wool Mauve Stretcher during our sewing class last week. The pattern used was view B from Vogue 8379, Bernadette cut up the size 10 and made no alterations to the pattern other than lengthening the ties. You can see Cathy’s collarless version here.
If you love a wrap jersey dress then this is definitely one pattern to add to the collection. Consider this also in a sleeveless version and a longer mid calf length for summer, in any plain or printed jerseys.
Beautiful dress. Nice color!
It's nice to see it made up. I recently bought this pattern, planning to make it up in some zebra-print ITY jersey. Looks like it will be a go pretty darn soon.
Thanks for providing the pics and review. It's nice to know the pattern pretty much works straight out of the envelope.
