UPDATED Mandy Boat Tee Pattern – now in FOUR sizes
Your favourite Tessuti pattern just got a whole lot better! A few weeks ago, we asked our Instagram followers if they’d like to see an extended size range for the Mandy Boat Tees and the answer was a resounding YES! So much so that we decided to include not the proposed three sizes, but FOUR.
So, how does the new sizing work? Size 1 is for standard Australian sizes (refer sizing chart on product page) XXS-XS. This size is for petites and is the shortest length but can easily be adjusted at the hem to suit your preference. Size 2 is for S-M, Size 3 for L-XL and Size 4 XXL -XXXL. Sizes 2 and 3 have the same finished length and Size 4 is the longest length. On Sizes 3 and 4, we’ve widened the sleeves too.
Other changes we’ve made are to the neckline which has been raised at the back and narrowed slightly. This will help maintain the shape of that classic boat neckline and prevent stretching over time. Oh, and we’ve also given you the option to now make Mandy with both three quarter or full length sleeves. Mine, pictured here in our Red Line Cruise viscose/elastane, is the three quarter length.
When making Mandy, it’s always important to factor in the stretch of your chosen jersey. For knits with limited stretch, you may need to size up so your sleeves aren’t too tight.
The new Mandy Boat Tee pattern is still available as a free download (of course!) but if digital copies aren’t your thing, we also have limited hardcopies now available for AUD15.
