Introducing our new Jensen Pants pattern

Introducing our latest pattern, the Jensen Pants! These pants have been on the the pattern to-do list for a long time. Five years in fact, so let’s make that a really long time. And that really is a testament to their timeless style that in all that waiting time, they’re still as contemporary now as they were half a decade ago.

The Jensen Pants are a pull-on style featuring a clean, classic silhouette and a tapered slim leg. Deep front patch pockets are anchored into the waist and side seams and the curved openings are finished with a self-bias back-binding that offers both structure and support.

We’re well and truly on Team Topstitching with this pattern – it appears on the mid-rise, elasticised waistband, side seams crotch seams, hems, and front patch pockets. For an elevated and sportier look, try a contrasting thread. We’ve used a string coloured #633 Gütermann Sew-All thread here with our Bedford Black Washed Linen and it’s a great way to highlight all the details that make this pattern what it is.

Colette’s modelling her Jensen Pants (below) with the Mattea Top , both made in Linford Grass.

The pattern is a winning combination of casual, classic and comfortable thanks to the relaxed style and elasticated waistband. To complete the look, wear Jensen with a variety of tops and footwear –  tanks, tees and blazers, heels, sandals and sneakers.

Anna’s wearing the Jensen Pants worn with the Romy Top (above) and Kate Top (below), all made in our Bedford Black Washed Linen.

Recommended fabrics for the Jensen Pants include linen, cotton, viscose and silk. For the cooler months, you can also use a lightweight wool such as wool crepe.

The pattern come in (Australian) size ranges 6-16 and 16-22 and is now available in both hardcopy and PDF copy shop/print-at-home versions. UK/EU customers can purchase patterns or pack from our Tessuti Pattern UK website.
