Our NEW Verona Jacket Pattern
Introducing our latest pattern – the Verona Jacket. This cropped boxy style features extended shoulders, collar, a peaked hemline at front, centre back seam, front shoulder darts and two-piece bracelet length sleeves.
Recommend fabrics for this jacket are non-fraying boiled wools, boiled wool blends or ponti knits. Just like our popular Brooklyn, Sydney, Berlin and Florence patterns, the Verona is constructed using overlapped seams which makes this a super quick, super simple sew. This jacket can be worn open or secured at the neck with a decorative pin.
This jacket has been designed as a perfect layering piece for the cooler months and is both stylish and versatile, lightweight and warm.
The Verona Jacket comes in (Australian) sizes XXS-XXL and is now available in both hardcopy and PDF copy shop/print-at-home versions (all sizes are included in the pattern) .
Love this. Has anyone made it in a longer version?
*Just* released so not yet Elizabeth
You must have been reading my mind!!
Simply gorgeous!
Been wondering what to do with a length of dark teal boiled wool in my fabric collection. This has just solved the problem!
I made this jacket in a light Ponte fabric for a recent trip to Italy (early October). It was perfect. It was just right for the cooler mornings or evenings and could be folded/ squashed into a bag when not needed. I then only needed to hang it up overnight for it to look smooth again. A perfect travel piece that only took a couple of hours to make. I already have fthe boiled wool in my cupboard to make a winter version next year.
Love this but am also wondering if this could be easily lengthened?
Also wondering if boiled wool can be hand washed instead of dry-cleaned?
Thanks Sandra
Hi Sandra. Yes – you could try lengthening. As for boiled wool care instructions, we definitely recommend dry clean only.
I love this jacket. I have a beautiful teal boiled wool that will be perfect. Also wondering if I could make it longer and line it. Any thoughts please?
I have seen it made longer and it looks great! The design, with its overlapped seams, is not made to accomodate lining so if you were to do that, you’d need to make a number of modifications.
