INTRODUCING THE LONDON COAT PATTERN

For a while now we’ve been planning a new addition to our boiled wool pattern family and here it finally is – the London Coat!

The London Coat is pure cozy, pure comfort and basically a warm winter hug disguised as piece of clothing. Features include dropped shoulders and full-length sleeves with turned back cuffs. The front can be worn open or secured with a feature pin.

For an extra touch of both style and neck warmth, there’s a roomy hood to keep cold winds at bay.

Our favourite feature of the London Coat? Definitely those pockets that are cleverly concealed within the horizontal hip seam. And speaking of the hip seam, it was during the testing phase that we realised that this coat looks fantastic when colour blocked from this seam downwards. Colette’s version here teams our Bollito Terra with Bollito Nero. Plenty of colour blocking fun can be had with this pattern and, using our current Bollito range, here are some combinations we came up with…Like our Sydney Jacket, Brooklyn Coat, Verona Jacket, Florence Coat and Berlin Jacket, the seams are overlapped and edges and hems left raw. This means you’ll need to use a non-fraying fabric such as boiled wool or boiled felted wool.

The London Coat comes in five size ranges (0-4) and is now available in both hardcopy and PDF copy shop/print-at-home versions.
