Updated & expanded: Laura Pants Pattern
Our Laura Pants have had a ten year anniversary makeover! Originally released in 2013, this pattern has remained an all-time favourite and one that we’ve long wanted to re-visit with a cover update, instruction refresh & size expansion.
If ever there was a pant pattern design to stand the test of fashion time, Laura has proven to be it! Cropped and tapered, the legs feature deep, topstitched hems and are finished with a side split detail at the ankle.
A mid-rise elasticized waist is topstitched to secure the elastic, giving a stylish and professional finish. There are no pockets making this a quick and easy sew.
Pair Laura with just about every style of top including shirts, tanks, tees, knits and blazers. And did we also mention trans-seasonal? Alex (below) is wearing her Laura Pants with our Torino Vest, made up in a Motiv wool crepe.
Zoe is wearing it here with our Leni Top, both made in our Bedford Pine Washed Linen. Laura & Leni make quite the cute pattern couple, right?
Suitable fabrics for the Laura Pants include mid-weight linen, lightweight wool, silk, viscose and crepe.
Included in the pattern are (Australian) sizes 6-22 and it’s now available in both hardcopy and PDF copy shop/print-at-home versions. UK/EU customers can purchase from our Tessuti Pattern UK website.
We can’t wait to see your version and if you’re sharing with us on Instagram, don’t forget to use the #TessutiPatterns #LauraPants #SewTessuti hashtags!
Hi, have you made any changes to the pattern as such, apart from extending the size range?
Hi Annika. No pattern change – just the size extension and an instruction re-fresh.
Is it very different to the Ponti pant?
Yes, very different. Anita is neater around the waist has a slimmer leg overall. The waistband method is different as well
