New Sydney Sewing Classes

Two brand new Sydney sewing classes! We’re excited to add the following to our 2023 timetable.

 

SEW A DETACHABLE COLLAR

In this class you will learn how to make a detachable (Dickie) collar. The Dickie is worn under a jumper/top to give the look of a crisp fashion collar. The collar has a front and back bib with adjustable side elastics and a front button placket completes the garment. You’ll also learn a few tips and tricks to create the perfect collar.

Class payment includes your own pattern (with four different collar options), lingerie elastic and sliders.

The Detachable Collar is now available as a hardcopy pattern from sewing instructor Nikki. Email her directly to enquire – nikkident@bigpond.com

COLOUR BLOCKING

In this class you’ll learn how to add design lines to your Tessuti (or any other) patterns to create a striking, colour blocked masterpiece. For best results, it’s preferable to use simple pattern designs such as our Lois Dress, pictured below. By adding design lines, you’ll be able to add blocks of colour to your garments. Be brave and try some exciting and bold colour combinations!
