Tagging Tessuti on Instagram: A New Way

Like everything else on Instagram, our Tessuti content, community and your Tessuti makes are becoming increasingly and frustratingly difficult to find. Searching for your social media shares under our current hashtag methods is simply not working anymore and many of our patterns – especially the older ones – are lost and lonely in a sea of popular, common and misused Instagram hashtags. And we want to find and see you! So, after putting this off for way, waaaaaaaaay too long, we’ve decided the time has finally come to change the way we tag at Tessuti.

We’re rolling out a set of hashtags tailored specifically to our patterns, our fabrics and the people who love them. So that we can better see you and be better seen ourselves, we’d love for you to start tagging your Tessuti makes and shares in this way. These will replace our previous pattern hashtags and (hopefully!) serve as a more efficient way to categorize and find Tessuti content. Below is a little rundown:

📍 #Tessuti[PatternName] – When sharing a make using one of our patterns, use hashtag followed by Tessuti followed by the given pattern FIRST name. No need to mention ‘top’ or ‘dress’ or ‘pants’ or ‘coat’ etc. The whole idea is to SIMPLIFY! Here’s how it will work:

Our Eva Dress is now #TessutiEva

Our Mattea Dress is now #TessutiMattea

Our Rae Dress is now #TessutiRae

Our Rae Top is now #TessutiRae

Our Avalon Pants are now #TessutiAvalon

Our Berlin Jacket is now #TessutiBerlin

Our Richmond Coat is now #TessutiRichmond

…and so on and so on, with all our Tessuti Patterns

📍 #TessutiPatterns – in addition to the individual pattern name (as outlined above), we’d love you to add this one for any and every Tessuti pattern you share. It’s an extra layer of visibility and one that we’ve actually been tagging with for a while. It’s also a great one to use/click if you want to see a broader overview of ALL of our patterns and not just a single design.

📍 #SewTessuti – The hashtag to use when posting non-Tessuti pattern makes sewn up in one of our fabrics.

We’d LOVE for you to start tagging your posts with our new hashtags and, if you’re up for it, updating your older posts with any (or all!) of them too. As a fun incentive to do so, we’re launching a little challenge – each week until the end of May, one randomly selected Instagram follower who uses any (or all!) of the tags above will win three PDF patterns. The more tags you use, the better your chances of winning! We’ll announce the weekly winner on Instagram stories each Friday until May 30th.

Our new and upcoming patterns will all include the preferred hashtags and we’ll slowly be updating exisiting hardcopy patterns as new reprints are done. A hashtag is only as strong as the people who use it so we hope you can get on board this tagging train so we can see, share and add some Tessuti love to every single one of your Tessuti makes!
